I saw Taisun grab his hand after a play and was wondering if he tweaked it. I'm sure he'll be fine. Glad to see him get some snaps.

Yeah I just saw it on the Sun AM replay of the game. Around 3min to go in 3Q, he stiff arms GT defender and they go out of bounds. They call late hit while Taisun is shaking and checking his hand. Next series he came out. I think he got his hand caught in the face mask during the stiff arm.

As for DJ, Dabo said he was sore all week from last week's game so they just held him got some emergency reps in for Hunter and Spiers as QB.

The kid seems like a great athlete and I'm sure is a good student athlete, but the forward pass has yet to be his friend. I hope he heals quickly and uses this time to find some touch on his passes. Everything he throws is a fastball, be it five yards or 50.

So we got DJ banged up running ####### plays last week

Oct 18, 2020, 12:52 AM

and he didn't get any action in a game where he could have gotten some real work this week? And now our backup is a walk-on?

thought Phommachanh looked really good. Every time I've seen him play since that time he has struggled. Not sure why Taisun struggles in actual games but it is has become a trend. If I were order our backups it would be DJ, followed by Hunter Helms and then Phommachanh.

I completely agree....

It's a shame too. He looks like a beast out there.

Based on play, I would put them in that order as well. TP7

may have a leg-up in the knowledge department, but it does not manifest to an advantage on the field. He looks good in the run, but uncomfortable as heck on passing plays.
