Ahh the SEC love. All that really matters is what happens on the field of play. Alabama LOST by 28 points to the Clemson Tigers but that means nothing now because Clemson is not in the SEC. This should be more motivation for the TIGERS ... as if they needed more incentive.

It's just click bait, and a need to stir conversation. It all plays out in the end, and we can be thankful that Dabo does a great job teaching his players to block out the noise.
That's why the Clemson Pyramid only has Clemson, not the weekly opponent, on it. They know that they have to keep improving as the season goes on.
Do we have an advantage playing the ACC? Slight. Bama only has LSU as legit competition, Oklahoma has Texas, Ohio State? nah, the Big10 is a joke this year.
So we build depth with a very young team, and steadily improve to be ready for the playoff.
Right now, they can rank us anywhere they want. When it comes to the playoff? We'll be back on top.
Personally, I think OU and OSU look better than Bama, but my opinion, like CBS', doesn't mean squat right now.

Agreed on the Oklahoma and Ohio State comment. What happened to the Ohio State regression that was supposed to happen? And Jalen looks pretty accurate against Big XII defenses ... is there a stipulation that defenses MUST be bad in that conference?
OSU, like Clemson, plays in a "weak conference" though, so if it doesn't win by 30 every night out, it won't get consideration. I wouldn't mind them making the playoffs and us giving them another 31-0 treatment. That zero is looking more and more realistic as our defense, without all the hype of last year's d-line, could be an all-time great D in Tiger history.
Alabama looks very beatable, and if LSU can throw the ball deep like they did against Texas, that's their Achilles. Throw over the top and stop the run--don't turn the ball over yourself--and you can beat the Tide.

What they count on are people watching the SEC game on CBS and looking at the ranking CBS has for the teams playing and then they say “well Alabama lost to #2 LSU so they should actually stay #1” and “#6 Auburn lost a tough road game to #9 A&M so they should stay #6” etc etc inbreeding cousin kissing.

As Clemson fans we know we haven't seen it yet. We've seen flashes of it but we haven't seen IT!!! But were working out the kinks like we did last season. Game 6 is where our season took off last year.
I dont mind if someone says alabama is playing better right now. Because what they're not telling you is that Alabama is wearing themselves out. They ain't gonna be worth a $#!+ come January.

Locksley's guys had one great game against a decent team but will barely be bowl-eligible. Will that prove the strength of the B1G?
No, it will show the immaturity if a young team that cannot execute well enough in hostile environments, like at Temple on Sat. And it will also demonstrate the immaturity of a young coach who could have won that game by kicking FGs and playing D.
But credit MD's AD who schedules non-con road games. Saban hasn't done that in 9 years, because it raises the risk of losing considerably.

Let me get this straight, South Carolina stuffed Bama's run game and they failed to even rush for even 100 yards. Rico Dowdell (yeah, Rico Dowdell) alone rushed for 100+ against Bama's defense. Tua picked apart a terrible SCAR secondary which resulted in Bama's only real offense.
Alabama can't run, and can't stop the run. They pick up an unimpressive win at SCAR, the same team that lost to UNC on a neutral field. So a leaky bama defense and no running game makes CBS declare them the best team in College football?

Why is this crap up on our site? We know we are #1 and not interested in seeing the extended SEC Network's rankings of SEC Fest any longer. We have taken over to be able to. claim ours and we have done nothing but be the only team to play 3 Power 5s, much less beat them all while carrying the #1 ranking that we have had since last season. ??

They hate us 'cause they ain't us.
I not sure sure Bama makes the CFP this year given their defensive issues. I think a team like TAM may be able to run on them and keep Tua off the field.
All that matters is who is #1 in January.

I'm not into conspiracies but let's look at the source, CBS. They pay millions to get the prime SEC game of the week so there could be just a hint of bias in their "rankings". All in all the CBS poll is the least of my worries and could care less. I mean you know something is up when they think Will Muschamp and South Carolina have some sort of vaunted defense. Heck South Carolina out rushed them but I guess critiquing them isn't in their nature.

I kinda love the idea that they are scared enough to write this drivel and are stupid enough to believe they can say anything to hurt us. Unlike bammer and the rest of the tired, wore out sec, Tiger nation does not need ongoing relentless validation and ego stroking to know who we are and what we stand for.

Honestly bama defense looked bad and confused against the unranked and frankly sub par offense with a freshman replacement QB and gave up a lot of yardage...If you combine this with the fact that Tua does not perform well when facing a real defense,,,there is a dramatic difference
