Are trading cards still popular?

Mar 7, 2018, 11:19 PM

I see that the first 1,000 fans on Friday get trading cards of players.

I really enjoyed collecting cards growing up, and thought it was a great hobby, but lost interest as I got older and became an adult. Are they still as popular as they were in the 90s? I’m guessing not.

I got several packs from the games last season. They’re in the bottom of a box.... in some drawer here in my house... I think...

I NEVER throw anything away (well, if you believe my wife).

If I can find ‘em, do you want ‘em?

In a nutshell, they are not. They've also lost much value with the exception of rare cards, old HOF's such as Mantle, Mays, etc.
People don't seem to buy them for the fun of it anymore. Some of my fondest memories are of buying baseball cards in the 60's!

I cannot make it to tomorrow's game but would like to get a set of the trading cards from tomorrow's game if anyone has extra. Great team and enjoy listening to the games via clemsontigers.com.

Me too. Remember? Three Ken Boyers for one Mickey Mantle?

Tigers again gave up a lot of runs early, but manage a really big comeback in the 5th. Impressive. Sting the jackets the weekend!.

I do love beating GT. They seem to have a good BB program as a rule, and beating them has been a highlight for us who live in GA. Of course, beating ugay is even better, but GT is in conference, and it really means more for us. I hope we stomp their little stingers good fashion. Go Tigers!

The Tigers should plan to have a 9-run inning every game

It would make winning a lot easier...
