TNET: Top Five Impact Freshmen to Watch This Spring

Top Five Impact Freshmen to Watch This Spring

Clemson returns what might be the best team in all of college football in 2020. There are playmakers galore, experience on both sides of the ball and on special teams, and what I think is the best group of incoming freshmen in the country. Full Story »

Don't sleep on Paul Tchio!

I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the 2-deep coming out of the summer. Top 100 player... top 5 OG. 6'5" 300 lbs. He's a big ol' boy and has a chance to be a contributor this season.

Anyway, he would've made my Top 5 to watch list.

Nobody named Capehart. I think he will make the 2-deep and play very well.

I personally believe we have Bryn Tucker OG & Walker Parks OT both will challenge on the Oline. Sage Ennis TE will challenge for playing time too. Ajou Ajou WR will surprise everybody too.

On Defense LB Kevin Swint will be on the 2 deep too. Tre Williams & Capehart DT will add depth both will be special players. Free Safety Malcolm Greene will be one of the biggest surprises of this class a underrated 4 star.

This is the best class ever for us.

We are so stacked, that its hard to just pick 5. Defensive tackle seems like an obvious impact spot though.

Will be very difficult to make noise at TE for the freshman 1) we have really deep and talented TE unit for 2020 2) it’s the most difficult position to learn in our system other than QB

My top 5:

Bryan Bresee (obviously!)
Myles Murphy
EJ Williams
Walker Parks
Paul Tchio

Two of the three have Mitchell Mayes in their top 5. I would be totally thrilled if he makes a legit impact as a freshman. IMO, both Parks and Tchio are better prospects

Trenton Simpson will make a big impact during his Clemson career but maybe not as a freshman.

I would ahve to lean towards Davids picks. I think Nikki has taken the position Defence will win the games next year so they will make the most impack. David appears to assume Trevor stays healthy continues to grow and DJ can be held for a future time and key his number 5 is a recevier. I hope he is correct as we need a receiver to provide depth as a result of Higgins departure to the NFL and concern over Ross not returning to his 2018 form.

Isn’t Mickens coming off an injury?

I think he will be great but not top 5 this spring.

Bresee capehart Murphy I think will all 3 be top 5.
