Clemson: The No. 1 place for No. 1 recruits

Head coach Dabo Swinney loved to tell people that his program appeared in five consecutive College Football Playoffs and won two National Championships without the benefit of a No. 1 recruiting class. Clemson is the place for No. 1 recruits, however. Full Story »

What that list shows me is that the top guy can be overrated. Clemson is good because they recruit their own types of players and develops them into top guys. This has been going on for quite a while under Swinney.
Simmons was a 3 star out of Kansas and who recruited Tanner Muse or James Skalski? Clemson recruits high character guys with a lot of heart, it appears. Now, if a top guy like a Bryan Bresee turns out to have a lot of heart, then look out.

Trust Dabo.

And here I thought the title was a set up for big news.

I believe the tides are a-changin(pun intended). Cannot count out bammer, and theres still too much sec bias, but the kids are taking a lot of notice of Dabo & Co. and what the program has been doing. Here's to a long string of great recruiting.

Y'all be safe and enjoy the 4th.

Most of those players on that list didnt really pan out that well for being #1. I had to look up to see what Ronald Powell did.

Exactly! I had the same reaction to Powell: "WHO??" LOL***
