Swofford Resignation Countdown Poll

May 23, 2012, 12:26 AM

John Swofford is starting to take some hits even on the UNC message boards. Even in their superior "well ... FSU and Clemson are just redneck football schools" mode, some UNC fans are beginning to see Swofford's resignation as an appeasement to the "football schools from the wrong side of the tracks". How long will it take ACC presidents to secure a resignation from Swofford in the best long term interests of the conference? And will it be too late to keep the ACC together?

It's too late to keep FSU & Clemson in ACC. Swofford resigns by Dec. 31 with ACC in disarray.
Swofford finds golden egg. ND and PSU agree to join ACC North. FSU & Clemson stay in ACC. Swofford gets bonus.

I am not too sure if it's too late to keep FSU and Clemson. I'm not even sure that Swofford will resign. Obviously he should, but I don't think he sees that he is ruining the ACC. Also what's to say that if we get a new commissioner that the BCS would reconsider bringing the ACC back to the table. It may be all over for the ACC when it comes to football
