Switched from Dish to DirecTV

Someone posted yesterday regarding a reply to an inquiry indicating Dish does not have any immediate plans to add the ACC Network. I signed up for DirecTV this evening. I live in NE North Carolina and the first available installation date is 7/30. The installation schedules would likely vary depending on where you live. Just wanted to pass along the info for anyone also considering switching so you don't miss the Tigers.

Good luck :)

Dish just dropped the local Fox Carolina station in the Upstate also. Hard to imagine it's good for business for them to drop a local station. However you can get 40 stations you've never heard of and never have any intentions watching. I'm going to sign up for something come football season, probably just go with Direct or Charter(no contract)

Did you tell Dish? If not the move did nothing to get...

carriage for the ACC Network. Carriage = $$$ for Clemson.

I did not tell Dish yet. Have to keep them until DirecTV is installed. They will find out on 7/30 or 7/31 as soon as DTV is up and running and I will make sure they know why I switched.

I have had direct tv for over 20 years. I have never had bad customer service. They are prompt with any issue.

I've had Directv for 12 years and all the while my father in law had dish. I think Directv's picture quality and sound quality is as good as you can get, plus they have more interesting channels. Even the music channels are better to me. Of course it isn't cheap anymore!
