If he wants a break from the NFL, we know he loves Clemson and family. I say Dabo should ask. However, I trust Dabo in whoever he hires.

I am not sure how I feel about Ryan. He would need to be able to recruit and some of his antics in the past may not set well with parents. If I had a kid I would have no problem with him playing for Ryan.

As much as I like the Ryans, I'm not sure their personalities would mesh well with Clemson's culture.

Also, I think we may be getting a little ahead of ourselves. While Rex's last couple of stints in the NFL haven't gone well, it's very difficult to be an NFL head coach. He's a Super Bowl winning Defensive Coordinator, and one of the best in the business in that regard. I find it difficult he's going to want to be a defensive line coach in college.

But he may want a break from the NFL and to spend time with his son and nephew. He has been a NFL Coach for a long time. He may be ready to step away for a while. You never know until you ask.
