So what was Cole and DAD promised
Sep 8, 2014, 3:42 PM

|
Two years ago when Stout was maybe looking to transfer ? My guess he promised that he would have so many games to prove that he is real good or so so good. I bet Stout is on a real short leash. I do not have the faith that Stout can handle the pressure and reads against FSU. He did have problems in the first quarter against SCstate. Throwing into double coverage with Peake wide open.
Guess we will see.

Cole can't work miracles when the sisters of the poor are shoving your OL around.

Agree with you. Tajh's running ability masked some OL issues we've had over the last few years.
Not having a good OL, or proven running game up to this point tends to make the QB's job more difficult.

even the georgia fans at the game were talking about it. He's a good qb but he's rattled or something, whatever it is he can't get the ball out of his hands when he's supposed to which almost cost us a couple picks against sc state it got to the point where the coaches had to implement a bunch of screens and plays with designated receivers and that's where he started picking up some yards. Cole stoudt is better than he's played I just hope he can shake it off and gash the semiholes since he's going to be the guy.

Funny thing is DW played behind the same oline and lit them up. Also, the main reason you play DW is because of our deficiencies in our oline. Stoudt has no escapability. Daw gives us a fighting chance

Watson hides everyone's weaknesses because he is a better player and elevates everyone around him. Stoudt is average, he can't do that

Cole was promised two things....
Sep 8, 2014, 3:48 PM

|
That he would have the opportunity to;
1 - Graduate with a degree for one of the finest Universities in the southeast, and
2 - Play for some of the most well respected coaches in the business who would not only help him develop as a player but also as a man.

And he also was promised that if he earned it he would be the guy. He has earned the right, in their minds, but if he slips, they will be happy to put in DW. It really is just that simple. If Dabo would fire his best friend and the husband of his wife's best friend, I can promise you he has no qualms with replacing a QB who is not performing when there is a good replacement to be called upon.

For one ,stop guessing! Secondly, don't hang yourself on that short leash. Finally,I doubt the coaches are the least bit concerned about your faith in what Cole can,or can't do. Yes,we will see,but Cole is still the starter till Dabo says otherwise. Then he can tell DAD.

Really? They show the parents of a kid that's playing and that's the royal treatment? Wow! I'd say that's a stretch.
Were the Stoudt's getting the Royal treatment when we all gushed over Chad Kelly, the freaking nephew of Jim Kelly?
The Stoudt's have been pretty low key for 3 yrs. Now their kid gets his shot and some of you think they have some pull? If they had any pull, maybe Cole would have been given some early game reps during the first 3 yrs. LOL.. Seems to me they had no pull during first 3 yrs and don't have any now!
I'm sure they understand more than any Tiger so-called fans that nothing is promissed or gauranteed. They are like all parents. Proud their son has a shot and know more than any parents their are no promisses. IF as you suggest, they are Royalty, DW would not have played a down.
Get real.

Idk about all that but his parents didn't look real happy after one or two of Stoudt's bad series and then watching Watson come in and light it up.

Opinions are one thing but you don't need to make s..t up. In the two games there was not one shot of the Stoudt's or Watsons when the other kid was in the game. NOT ONE. Nor we're any comments made.
ESPN and the ACC Network should be given some credit for NOT trying to stir controversy by attempting something sleazy like you suggest.
Tho I've been a supporter of Stoudt, in the end I want what's best for this team. I still believe in Cole........but when people or media types stir the pot in the way you have by making up blatant lies........true Clemson fans must call you out.
