Teams which showed some sort of solidarity today against Trump's comments (absent, locked arms, kneeling, etc.) will win 50% of their games.

I don't think we can blame a Steelers loss on it. The Bears probably had something to do with it.

I'd rather they stay in the locker room than take a knee.

Heck Clemson isn't on the field for the National Anthem - I don't see that as a disgrace.

They didn’t do it to protest the national anthem. Coach Tomlin said the team was going to stay in the locker room because he doesn’t agree with mixing politics and football and that’s all that this is now. Stupid NFL players brought politics into the game by protesting the anthem which has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with the Nation itself. So he’s trying to remove his team from the drama that all this has created.

I didn’t say you thumbed me down. I said whoever thumbed me down without having a rebuttal was making a b!tch move. I don’t see where I called you out anywhere. And the media doesn’t tell the whole story and almost ALWAYS put up misleading headlines that get reactions from those unwilling to get th facts so they just become blind uneducated sheep. I actually didn’t realize I responded to your comment from the beginning so now I see the confusion. My original reply was meant for the OP. But not once did I call you out for anything and I had no inclination you specially thumbed down my comment. But someone did and didn’t have the brass to say why.

That was actually not a bad idea. Take the controversy completely out of the conversation. I'm going to assume that pre-game hooplah is just so much noise in the head of pro player. They've got their minds on the tasks at hand. The National Anthem is for the fans.
