DeVoe is really the only spot in question, I would be surprised if he was a starter honestly. However, if he does start, he is going to have to prove himself early and often to keep it. Reed and Mitchell will certainly be pushing for the spot.

I watched Reed 2 years ago in Little John and he was very impressive. I would not be surprised if he started but I think DeVoe earned it last season. Mitchell is more of a PG I heard but can play both.

Devoe is probably the best passer on the team. What holds him back is his defense. If he developed a consistent shot he would be extremely hard to stop. He also gets a lot of rebounds for a guard

Oh gosh! Not good! Until Thomas can play we are going to be very very thin down low! Djittle gets in foul trouble too. We are going to have to play small ball. I dont think many teams we play early are very big atleast. If we play Xavier in round 2 of the tire pros tourny that will hurt us.

who will be first off the bench? i'm guessing Mitchell early in the year, and then Thomas (unless he starts)
will definitely need some quality minutes from Robertin early in the season

Devoe shot 34% overall and 30% from the 3pt line. If not much improved, he's not going to help significantly. Hope Mitchell and/or Reed are better than that. Hudson had better stats as a freshman last season. The guards will have to shoot better for the team to make the NCAAs, especially with no proven scorer at center.

He showed potential IMO. He is experience is why I believe he will start. He knows the system and plays good D. I hope Reed is better as well!

I am most concerned about the lack of a serious inside game this year at the basket - same concern I have had every year under Brad Brownell who cannot seem to be able to recruit talented and strongly powerful inside players. You do not win in the ACC without this element of your game!!!!

Ummmm.. Guard Play is usually the issue with Brownell's teams not the post. Look for Blossomgame and Grantham to play the four early and have decent production.

Grantham needs to have a more diverse offensive game and improve his rebounding to help the inside production. He shot 57 more threes than JB with 111 less attempts and had 108 less FTs, which indicates he spent lots of time at the 3pt line. He rebounded just over one better per game than any of the guards who had significant PT. His ability to improve is another key to the team's success.

So Grantham needs to elevate his game to help the team, but when JB does it it hurts the team?

What makes you think we won't?
We have a Power Forward who got votes to be ACC Player of the Year, and a Center that could've started.
And it won't show itself within 10 games, because after 10 games we gain a Top 50 recruit at Center.
