The rest is a toss up on how freshmen develop. Thankfully they're all highly talented and a few came in early.

Kendell Jospeh and Korie Rogers will make noise at the LB position behind BB and BJ. Wiggins, O'Daniel and Blanks will man the SAM position and all can play well there. Huggins, Wilkins will provide depth at DT. I think Bryant avoids a RS and pushes Dodd at SDE. Tankerlsy and Fields are going to battle at the open CB position across from Alexander.

There won't be a worry at all on defense. We have depth across the board, even if it is unproven. As far as leaders go, Lawson, Goodson, Boulware, Wiggins, Kearse, Reader, Alexander all come to mind. Pagano and Robinson will be in rotation at DT. Wilkins and Huggins can fill in there, but they can also move outside at DE with Bryant, Register and Yeargin. Fields is cross training at Boundary and Field CB position and Tankersly and Baker are both ready to play. Kearse, Green and Johnson are proven at safety and Van Smith is talented to play but can afford a RS year. At LB we are blessed with Goodson, Boulware, Joseph and Rogers, so Chad Smith could RS. Wiggins, Blanks and O'Daniel will battle it out at SAM. As far as I'm comcerned, with our talented offense, we can win it all with a defense that capable. There will be a lot of names made for themselves on D this year. Go Tigers!

Tankersley is the starter at the corner spot opposite Alexander. Fields will compete for playing time along with Carter, Baker, Edmonds, and Chalmers. The secondary will be a strength of this defense.
