Doesnt hurt us in any way, only helps bc makes it harder for NIU to jump into the top 16

They most certainly can. 5 of the 6 teams in front of them play this week and they just beat one of them.
We better hope like hell that 2 or 3 of Oregon St, UCLA, Texas and Boise St. Don't lose.

Have you seen who Boise St, Texas and UCLA are playing?
They already move up at least 1 spot by beating Kent St. And would likely jump Michigan.
If UCLA loses and Nevada beats Boise St again, Texas likely loses to Kstate that moves them to atleast 18/17. We need Oklahoma to lose that could move them 17/16. Would be up to voters at that point if they move above Michigan
It can happen. Not likely, but it can.

The PAC-12 is already getting 2 teams. Oregon and the winner between UCLA and Stanford.

UCLA winning could possibly take us out of the top 16.
Also, Boise State at 20 in the BCS is 1 ahead of NIU, so I don't think NIU has any shot. I will say though that it would be a complete mockery of the system if a 2-loss mid-major made it into a BCS bowl over a 2-loss BCS conference team.
