Not surprising, I always marveled at Wayne's ability to stop mid-run and pound out bench press reps. The combine really identifies key metrics for success. Can't wait to hear how far DW4 can throw a ball while on his knees

yup, and blocking blitzing linebackers and stiff arming would be tacklers is better represented by his wonderlic score.

“Clemson wasn’t that much better with Trevor Lawrence, if at all.”

Yep, think that's the only thing that's going to hold him back. I wouldn't think he'd be able to block too many guys. Nah, I think Wayne Train may just move right on up. His upside is exactly what most nfl teams need now. when compared to cook or fournette he left them in the dust when it came to blocking and when it came to ball control. granted he didn't carry as many times but when averaged, his ball control much better than the rest.

nfl and the scouts really get caught up in the hype imo. Ends up they don't put the best players on the field. Could be why they're losing so much viewership.

Christian always struck me as being very elusive, not necessarily a pounder like Gallman.

Imagine how good a player he'd be if he could do say 13 reps? Stanford probably regrets giving him a scholarship at this point

I'd be willing to bet Tom Brady could do 1-2 reps at most

Get real. No way Brady can bench more than 180 tops.

I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message.

Nope, tied for sixth.

Mar 3, 2017, 12:02 PM

There are 5 players who did more reps than he did.

Name School Bench
1 Perine, Samaje Oklahoma 30

2 Stevenson, Freddie (FB) Florida State 24

3 Carson, Christopher Oklahoma State 23

4 Cook, Dalvin Florida State 22
4 Smith, De'Veon Michigan 22

6 Davis, Justin Southern Cal 21
6 Gallman, Wayne Clemson 21
6 Shell, Rushel West Virginia 21

More than decent effort on the BP. While I am interested in his 40 time, I see him as a good third or so round value. If he goes higher awesome, but the love fest now includes Fournette, Cook(rightfully so) Foreman, mixon, Kamara, and McCaffery. For myself in would take Wayne overy Foreman, Perineum and maybe even McCaffery. Not sure how his game translates from Stanfords Swiss Army Knife to NFL back. However if a team FL drafts him as a guy who gets you returns, catches, and some third down rb, I personally think that's his game. Just my .02 cents

I'm 57 years old and heck I can bench 225 10 times . McCaffery must have been eating Big Mac's instead of working out .
