Some of the reasons I do not like night games
Nov 28, 2012, 6:14 PM
|
|
# 1 lately we do not have much luck
#2 college football is meant to be played in the sun, we did not even have lights when I was at dear old Clemson
#3 Drunks, opposing drunks in particular. I have never been so disgusted at the sight of PWT (poor white trash)
#4 And this is the deal. A noon or 3 o'clock game folks meander in have there fun, game, more fun then meander out.
Night game at 34 degrees and every one has one goal, get out! Traffic nightmare.
I got home at 3 AM after the game (40 miles away). Have no regrets though.

Got home at 2:30. I live 17 miles down the road in Easley. Even with 3:30 games, I get home around 8:30 or 9:00.

3:30 games are the best!!! But unfortunately, we have no say and no control over it! I absolutely despise noon games!! They are for teams that nobody really cares about!

True, in that respect. but before TV domination that was the given time.
Get your but up, be in place by 9 am , get your grub and drink on, enjoy a win, come back and maybe a nap, more food, and then lazily back home.
That is how gawd intended it.

But after Saturday nights walk back to the car, NO WAY.
Such a lack of class by those birds.

Odd. A school founded by rich white trash (Tillman) and attended by many poor white trash who just wanted to have their own separate school from those wicked Whiskeypalians in the Lowcountry, has alums and supporters who are actually scared and appalled by the presence of modern day white trash from Lexington County. Amazing.
Oh, I am modern day white trash from Lexington County (near Gilbert) - proud to say and I DO pick up my own trash!

I agree with all our points with the exception of number #3. As hard as it is for me to say this, we have some Clemson fans that are just as trashy. How about the jerk who flipped off the tv after we scored? That was a tiger fan! I have never been so embarrassed! That's not how I want my alma mater represented! I love my tigers and hate it when someone else's disgraces our great university!

Rest assured, I am 100% a tiger fan. My husband graduated in 04 and 05 and I graduated in 06. I've followed tiger net for a long time but just recently created an account because I was helping my cousin find tickets. I have NO LOVE for the gamecocks.
I was at the game and didn't hear about the fan until afterwards. I have since seen videos and pictures that my gloating gamecock friends have forced upon me. I've been going to the games regularly for 12 years now and have never witnessed that kind of behavior. But unfortunately, video and pictures don't lie. I hope that our university never gets that kind of embarrassment from our fans again.

And I agree with you so much. One of the things I take great pride in is class, our class. I have been going to away games since 1978 and always took pride in being a good sport in victory or defeat.
Have you ever seen the photo in the SC endzone with all the "fingers". ?
I am so sorry that happened, hoped all our people were better than that.
again, sorry

Me too.
No I haven't ever seen that picture, but I sure would love to. One gamecock friend in particular was very holier than thou in her post about the fan on tv. I would LOVE to show that to her.
