They could be, if they had a better QB, better O-line, better rb's and receivers, better D all around, and much better coaches.

He may have meant they "should" be 5-0 had they:
1) hired different coaches
2) signed different players
3) played better football
4) Scored more points than their opponents

Without one guy, who is now hurt, they would definitely be 1 and 4 ....same reason FSU is 1 -2 rather than 0 - 3.

with less than five seconds on the play clock instead of 20+ on the last play before SCar began using their timeouts the coots are 3-2. It seems that many or most coaches have no idea on clock management.

I think he meant "should" in the sense that it is unacceptable that they are not 5-0. They have not played a team that they should loose to (accept maybe the team they actually beat), and that they have lost to them is telling of the state of the program. At least that's the way I took it. The guest was a reporter from the P&C I believe.
