And Jamie Dixon is also equally absurd.
Dixon left Pitt last year to go home to TCU. He already coached at a better job in the ACC and now is back home in Fort Worth. He is a TCU grad and wanted the job there badly.
He is not leaving TCU to go to Clemson ever......ever.......ever.

don't expect anyone to come here and recruit with Duke, North Carolina, Louisville, but we should be able to recruit better than Southern Conference level. Also the new coach, which will probably not be until after next season, must have an offensive scheme that will give us a chance to score and put people in the seats, like Purnell did.

If we're not going to fork out the money for a big time name to draw big time recruits, we will be just as well off keeping Brownell until his contract has run out. Can't see paying another Brownell type coach while Brownell is setting at home getting paid like Tommy Bowden. Hire a big name to replace Brownell, or why bother wasting money for another that won't do any better than the rest. Go big time and stop wasting time and money. Clemson deserves it, and Clemson fans deserve it!!!
