nothing exciting- his daughter realized we had a terrible women's coach and transferred; we did not recruit his son as hard as Wake did (and we had senior point guards and he wanted to play early).

Sharone loves Clemson. His kids just wanted to play ball elsewhere

Here's an article from yesterday's Greenville News:

https://www.greenvilleonline.com/story/sports/college/clemson/2019/02/02/former-clemson-star-sharone-wright-watch-clemson-wake-afar/2741469002/
Wright’s son, Sharone Wright Jr., is a freshman guard for the Demon Deacons.

“It will be weird for him to come into a place that he knows so well and a place where I did a lot of damage,” Wright said.

So who will the elder Wright be cheering for?

“I'm the biggest Clemson Tiger cheerleader ever,” he said. “I’m going to root for my son, but the Tigers come first.”

...

“I let him make the decision himself,” Wright said. “With me being who I am, it would have been a perfect situation if he had gone to Clemson, but it would have come with a lot of pressure, too.”

Wright had seen that pressure materialize before. His daughter, Justice, began her college basketball career at Clemson in 2014, but wound up transferring to Auburn.

“That first year was really tough for her,” Wright said.
