So, there is overwhelming agreement that the Sugar vs. UGA

Oct 28, 2012, 4:49 PM

is a better bowl for Clemson than the Orange vs. Louisville. The question, which has already been discussed somewhat, is would you rather win the ACC and play in a crappier bowl, or still finish 11-1 and play in a better bowl?

  Which is better?    [Results]

Win the ACC and play a less attractive opponent in a crappier bowl?
Not win the ACC but still finish 11-1, and play in a better bowl?

11-1 means a win over the shamecocks and good God we need to beat them this year.

I don't see FSU getting beat, I say we win out settle for state championship, and hopefully get enough respect to face the Dawgs in New Orleans! Better opponent, two great fan bases, Rivalry Renewed a year early! Best of three the next three years for bragging rights with them!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

We must win out and hope Boise St. loses another game.

Oct 28, 2012, 5:06 PM

If Boise St. finishes in the Top 16, they will get the automatic bid.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

There is more than 1 at large bid.........if we win out we

Oct 28, 2012, 6:11 PM

will get one.

Normally I would agree with you but this year I would much rather have a better bowl.. since ACC is getting such disrespect. I would rather finish 11-1 and beat a good SEC (Georgia) team in a better bowl... that is better for us in the long run... much better...

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Listen all we got beat by a ### good

Oct 28, 2012, 6:25 PM

Florida State team.... they are going to win out. There is no shame is us losing to them. We need to win out, get a better bowl then beat the crap out of Georgia.

They lost to NCSU and ,ade it bad for both teams***

Oct 28, 2012, 5:41 PM

Coots so I'll take 11-1 and no acc championship and play in a better bowl.

edit: I'd much rather have the state championship this year than the acc championship....

We're friends. You laugh, I laugh. You cry, I cry. You jump off a bridge, I get in my boat and save your retarded a$$.

that would be great but I'd really rather

Oct 28, 2012, 5:59 PM

have a better bowl, especially with all the disrespect the ACC is getting this year.

Us against Georgia would be great, especially if we kick some bulldog A$$.

its not the question, the question is

Oct 28, 2012, 6:14 PM [ in reply to Well if we finished 11-1 that means we beat the ]

acc and orange or no acc and sugar.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: So, there is overwhelming agreement that the Sugar vs. UGA

Oct 28, 2012, 5:49 PM

Hopefully both us and FSU can win out and we can get an at-large bid. It'd be great if we could beat a 11-2 UGA team and FSU beat an undefeated Louisville squad.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Can we think of a better adjective than "crappier" when

Oct 28, 2012, 6:17 PM

comparing the Sugar and the Orange Bowls? They are both great bowls. The Orange Bowl is (given the match-ups listed) a less interesting opponent to most Tiger fans, but easier for most Tiger fans to get to.

But come on. Always take the championship.

Sure! Given The ACC In Not So Strong This Year....

Oct 28, 2012, 6:39 PM

So FSU (if they win out) might play. say Rutgers ....

Vs

US playing UGA, or say Notre Dame ! Its a no-brainer

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

lol. look how it is worded.....

That may be a poor choice of words, or it may not, as it was

based on the already established, overwhelming preference of t-netters for the Sugar over the Orange.

While the Sugar is more alluring than another trip to the Orange with a lower rate opponent (especially after last year), it's important to also consider this. A loss to GA in New Orleans will sting just as much as another Orange Bowl loss. A win in the Sugar may seem sweeter at the time, but it doesn't come with a conference championship banner that will last forever.

Point is, 11-1 on November 25 is the important thing - ACCCG game or not.

COLLEGE: A three-year starter at strong safety for Clemson, finished his career with 234 tackles and 11 interceptions.
