At worst TL threw 70-30 passes, 70% our guy catches it, 30% no one does. He was only intercepted 4 times. Best since Steve Fuller threw 4 in 1978. TL threw more passes but Fuller threw most of his on 3rd and 6 or more! Both out standing stats.

If they were 50/50 balls, why didn't AL catch their share? Either they were not 50/50 or the AL DB's are no good - or both.

They know Tua cant complete a pass unless they are playing inferior defenses, he is not being pressured and the receivers are wide open. He practically had all game to stand around and play catch against OU. OU had one sack and zero QB hurries or knock downs. The Tigers had 2 sacks, disguised coverage and other than one mis-read, locked down on the Bama receivers making Tua uncomfortable resulting in 2 INTs. Tua got his share of completions but the receivers were covered so not a bunch of YAC and they couldn't get open in the red zone.

TL's 50/50 passes were completed at a rate of 62.5%. The Tiger receivers went after the ball, won the battles and made some great catches. It's better to have a QB that can throw the ball where the receivers are supposed to be and the receivers battling for the ball snd making catches (Tigers) than a group of receivers that can only catch non-contested passes (Bama).

I wonder what Bama fans "really think" about Ross now after they originally said he would be the #6 receiver on Bama?
