LOOK: 2018 Clemson Championship Coke bottles released

Clemson has made Coca-Cola busy pumping out commemorative bottles and cans for Tiger fans after the team's two national titles in the last three years. Here are Read Update »

So guessing there will be no 6-pack bottles in SC stores to make a mad dash for?

Will be for the best I reckon since there were none of the 2016 bottles where I lived.

I have 2 1981 bottles and ordered 2 of these. I never saw any in stores from 2016. If anyone in upstate area has one or 2 2016 bottles to spare, I would love to have them. Would pay $10 each. Thanks!

First off I think they could have put a little effort into this bottle. It's lame and plain imo. Plus after the last natty they were 3.99 a six pack.

It’s a sad little bottle that seems like it doesn’t even want to be known as a Clemson bottle. I’m sure there will be something better later.

I sure hope so!
Need something with perfect season, being 15-0, schedule and scores on the back, etc.

If you could find them . . .

None were ever seen in North Carolina (Laurinburg area). I had relatives in Spartanburg and Sumter trying to get me a 6-pack in 2016. None to be found.

This way cost more, but everyone has a shot to get them. Kudos for the marketing change. TD for the weak design!

Obviously the higher up at Coke are all drunk and/or high on the job. Did you not hear the lady speak on Saturday?
This is pretty good for drunken allnighter ...IMO

Looks like the drunk lady from Coke yesterday designed it.***

Something was definitely wrong. But it could have been the cold. President Clements also seemed off a little.

when does the University's contract with Coke expire? All the hand-over-fist money they make selling exclusive product at all campus events, and this is the effort.

Hey Pepsi, you watching this?

Still better than the coke cans. WAY too much red on those. Remember the Clemson orange soda cans from 1981? That’s the way to do it!!!

I would be willing to bet they will sell 6 packs a month or two before the season starts. They sold them as soon as they hit the shelf and had to limit sales. There's no way they won't make money off of it. This is probably a money grab for all the fans that want stuff immediately.

Probably will be the case

Posted: Jan 13, 2019 3:19 PM

Judging from what I saw available on that site, probably a quick way to turn a few bottles & make $ (and to everyone complaining about the red, it's like that for all of them regardless considering they're doing custom bottles for many teams along). I think they'll do a more customized one later this year, just hope that they'll be more available than last year. Closest I found out of any near me were Lancaster & Ft Lawn & they were gone by time i could go look. Worst was local store near me that was listed as a chain that would carry them didn't get any, but had plenty of them for coot womens & tar hole mens bball. Fortunately have a friend in GSP area you got a 6 pack & saved a bottle for me.

military_donation.jpg

Horrible. Won't buy them.

Pepsi should capitalize on this by coming up with something we would actually want.

For those of you that want them use
PARTYPACK25 for discount.

Re: TNET: LOOK: 2018 Clemson Championship Coke bottles released

Best part about the last run was the 6 pack packaging and this run is worse. No way I pay $5 a bottle with very little actual commemorative facts on that miniature bottle.

I see somebody either at Coke or at Clemson took note that their would be a market for $5 mini soda bottles. I'm not so sure they are going to gain as they thought.

If you use PARTYPACK25 (order 12), you get the big discount. However; I don't think that it tells you on the way t/ the order that you get free shipping if the order is over $60. So...If I'd ordered 13 instead of 12, I'd have saved $ & got free shipping. Buyer beware. I have a nephew In MB & one in Cootlumbia. Neither got a 2016 bottle for me so I ponied up the big bucks. Guess I'll give away the extras. A Clemson guy owns the Chick-fil-A near me. My youngest went by there w/ a Clemson tag. The owner has been loading him up with give-a-ways & coupons ever since. Pretty cool. I'll see if he needs a few.

I remember hearing this 2 years ago: The cans and the bottles are the same for all the teams they do them for. They just put what ever the school considers their championship logo on them. All are red in color. When Bama wins, it looks like they used their color, but didn't. Has anyone seen, by chance, one that was done for the Heels when they won 2 years ago in basketball? Of course, Coke would have to be their distributor, and not Pepsi.

They definitely don't spend any time or money on design. What really stinks, is if they would spend some money on design or maybe even have a contest using the fans to enter their suggestions, they would be wildly popular and be kept as keepsakes for years, like the one from the '81 championship above.

Each to their own on what they like or don't like but, I have a few of the coke bottles and the coke cans from the 1981 NC, and these they are doing now, I think that they suck with all that Red!!!

My Coke bottles came today. Really cool packing. Very disappointed with the bottles. The label is plastic and stuck onto the bottle, unlike the 2016 ones which were printed onto the glass. Does anyone know if they are going to release a better made bottle later this year?

was so disappointed when my six pack arrived. Couldn't believe they didn't paint it on and just used a wrapper! The logo is so tiny! Last time was so much better.

I'm pissed I paid $10 bucks for this.

$5 for the bottle, $5 for shipping. It's a plastic label on the glass bottle.
