So does Brad's program start over again?

May 3, 2019, 6:17 PM

With the transfers and Steve Smith situation, does Brad get to start over fresh meaning we don't judge what he did for the first 9 years?

Basically like when he got a clean slate 2 years ago after the renovations and new Littlejohn?

So how man clean slates does he get?

He must have the easiest no pressure job among the power conferences...

His first 9 years are way better than our average 9 years.***

Besides J. White and M. William, who else is transferring out of CU Basketball? One may have helped us and one likely would not have had an impact on the team next season.

The beauty of college athletics is that you are, basically, "starting over" every year. With graduations (5 this year, 33% of your team) and 3 transfers (20% of your team) who played little to none and when they did play, they under performed, yes, they are starting over more than in most years. Clemson is not alone in this boat. With the exception of a handful of programs, where athletes with little to no desire to get a degree in order to bide their time for a season, or two, until the NBA says that they are ready, most university programs only have to deal with losing 1-3 seniors each year. Clemson has STUDENT athletes for the most part. These guys are interested in getting good, life long, money making educations and degrees. And, yes, they may play a few more years in overseas pro leagues, but the vast majority of them will be joining the working real world along with the rest of us, eventually. Yep, 2019-2020 will be a rebuilding year. On the flip side, there are going to be a ton of young players that will be here for a few years. Better seasons yet to come.
