So USC wouldn't clear Jarvis Jones because his spine was in

Feb 21, 2013, 4:29 PM

too dangerous of a postion.

So he transfers to UGA, who immediately clear him to play.

NOW, he is at the NFL combine and the doctors there refuse to let him even participate in the combine events because of his medical condition.

What does that say about UGA and their attitude towards the athletes?

In fairness....

while it may be congenital or traumatic, Spinal stenosis is frequently due to chronic degeneration. In other words, it gets progressively worse with age.

In either case, treatment is frequently surgical in nature and depending upon the location of the stenosis (cervical or lumbar region) any such surgery could result in an end to his football career.

That doesn't change the fact that USC would not clear him to play, and now it appears that the NFL doctors concur, but UGA green lighted him right away.

BTW, the report that the NFl would not clear him was reported on the ESPN combine show.

How does that change the fact that neither USC or the NFL

Can we wait until we have a 30 point lead, first?

Where does it say the NFL docs did not clear him? It looks like speculation, and there are others who are not working out as well, so it could just be his choice to wait for the UGA pro day.
