I would take our DL over theirs. Our LBs are right up there with Bama's. Our secondary is just as good IMO. Player for player I think we have an argument that we are better.

Truthfully, taking my orange sunglasses off, that's debatable. You'd have to look at all offenses and defenses played across the board...but by stats, both teams are fairly level in what they've played against.

I know their rushing D has been amazing as well as scoring D. Their DL and LBs stand firm but they play a different kind of D than we do. We have more TFLs one less Sack and the same number of TOs. A big part of the yards and points I believe has to do with each teams O as well. While our D has had a few bad games and Bama's has not had many bad games. They have given up 2 400 yard passing games while we have given up 1 300 yard passing game.

They have the better defense, but our offense matches up against their D better than their offense against our D.

I think it is very close thought while our O is much better than Bama's. Though they average almost as many ppg as we do.

Can their D stop our O more, or can our D stop their O more, that is the only question.
Their D is scary good, but there is not one single O in the country that I would pick over ours.
Our D looks awfully good at times, but can they stop Bama's O that at times looks boring, but also looks like watching a sledgehammer at work.
Should be interesting. I was a freshman in '81 and watched all of that happen while screaming my lungs out, but I've never been more proud to be a Tiger than right now.
Gonna watch the game with a Bama buddy, he's low key, he's proud too......and he's worried.

All these points are valid that people have made, but it's one game and it comes down to that one game. It's true that SEC offenses are pathetic. It's also true that Bama's defense is good regardless. It's true that ACC offenses are better, but look at what PITT, LOU (2nd half), and FSU (Dalvin) did to us at times.
My feeling is the Big10 was drastically overated. OSU had never seen anything like Clemson's speed all year and they had no idea how to handle it. Same with FSU/MICH. I think our edge is that Bama's defense hasn't come close to seeing the skill set they are going to see on Monday. We'll see how good their d really is, or were the stats inflated because of the SEC
Bottom line - for 2 straight years the UNDISPUTED 2 best teams in college football are playing for the title

How so? Our DL is better. Our best player on the DL is better than their best player. Our LBs are on the same level IMO and our DBs are just as good and we go deeper at CB. We have played much stiffer competition this year week in and week out.

They have better stats against the run but that is it. We have played against the best RB in the nation and the best player if we are asking Heisman voters that is.

This is such a homer post. Just like when you said DW is as good or better at running than Lamar Jackson. I love our defense and wouldn't trade them for anyone, but only a Clemson homer would say our defense is better than bamas. They have like 5 first rounders on that defense, and prob 5 more waiting on the sidelines.
