Exactly why I don't go to the church I grew up in anymore. If you didn't dress properly and wear fancy clothes you didn't fit in and were looked down upon. I can't stand that old school mentality in churches. Come as you are. Jesus don't care, only people do, and our opinions don't matter to anybody's salvation. Good for the NC st player for showing up.

Well you are certainly in a good place, and while in the house of our lord, I wouldn't worry to much about what others wear while they are there. The most important thing is that they are there. Maybe he just has a need to let folks know that he is a NCSU person today. I'm betting he would have dressed differently if he had been there Saturday morning.

as for me I am just glad he was there!I attended a church in N. Charleston years ago. I of course had on my normal coat and tie when I guy walked in and sat next to me. He had on cut-off jeans and an undervest. I shook hands with him and told him I was glad to see him.I think The Lord was glad to se both of us!!!!!!!

I have a purple shirt and a orange tie with lots of white mini Tiger paws that I wear to church after every coot FB game, win or lose, and my preacher calls me out every single time. But that's bc he is a coot, and he believes in our savior Jesus Christ, and he thinks that Jesus is a coot fans. But I tell him that Heaven on earth is in those Hills around Clemson, and that would naturally make Jesus a Clemson fan bc it's his home team. And that Jesus only comes to cootlumbia trying to save the sinners, or when his home team is playing there!!!

about what clothes one wears to church (see James 2:2) but He does care about an attitude that would look down at a young man who chooses to come worship in casual clothes.

Thankfully I had on my church clothes at church this morning.
Good friends, good lessons, good music, and lots of good hearts. I was blessed.
