Never thought those words would come from me but if anyone can shut down the Ocasio-Cortez wing of the far left it is her. Had to laugh on the up to 70% income tax tp pay for her Green Initiative, so how much and whom will pay for ‘Free Heath Care”,free tuition, govt. jobs at $15 an hour for anyone?
The University she obtained her economics degree from must cringe every time she opens her mouth!

We had a 90% top bracket tax under Eisenhower. And I am not defending her or her policies, but I am just saying that "man how things have changed in this country." The definition of leftists has changed dramatically since then.

Also Balm, as per IRS and Treasury the EFFECTIVE FEDERAL TAX rates today are the same as when published rates were 80%-90% as deductions have been done away with so do try to compare apples to apples not anvils to apples.

are you trying to argue that there are fewer loop holes and write offs now than there were in 1953? Because right now the effective tax rate for billionaires is about 12-15%

Yes Balm the deductions from the 1950’s have been drastically reduced, IF you would look it up you would actually LEARN something for once.

On income deductions have been cut dramatically, you do not grasp that billionaires pay tax on income using available deductions but most of their money comes from areas not included or defined as income. That is where you fail again .
