Of all the things he could have tweeted about (maybe asking his minions to stop acting like idiots), he chose to show us his thin skin once again. That's not leadership.

In clear violation of the theater's policies.
Seriously, most would consider it rude to attack an elected leader who came to enjoy your performance.
Yes, it was an attack. Yes, he made the very clear statement that Trump and Pence are feared and not trusted.
Now...I question the appropriateness of such an action. Perhaps if he couldn't keep politics out of the show, he could have welcomed the new vice president elect and led the audience in a prayer for wisdom and clear thinking for him and Trump over the next four years. But libs still love to lecture, so a lecture is what he gave.

I read the quote. Here's what it boils down to.
Nov 20, 2016, 3:16 PM
|
|
1. It's not a big deal. Who cares what someone's opinion at play is?
2. It's his right. Anyone who gets up set needs to get over that.
3. This is starting to become reminiscent of the Bush era attacks when someone criticized the president publicly. Calling for boycotts. Saying it was "inappropriate." Ridiculous. He's the president and he's open to criticism. People who are upset are flirting with putting a man above our freedoms.
It was his right to express it. Maybe if Trump and Pence don't want people to openly criticize them, they shouldn't have launched so many attacks themselves during the campaign.

I mean, good God. People used to openly question Obama's birth certificate and claim he was a Muslim, and the folks on this side barely batted an eye (or did their own accusing). And now they're going to pretend this is a big deal.

2) Blah blah his right.

3) Blah blat but Bush.

Well, okay, if you want to "blah blah" condescendingly...
Nov 20, 2016, 8:38 PM
|
|
... when I'm trying to have a discussion about it, then allow me to retort:
1. It's not a big deal. Get over it. Really? Butt hurt over what some actors in a play said when we've got real policy issues to discuss with the new Trump admin? Get over it.
2. Your use of "attack" is absurd and laughable. Let me condescendingly post the definition of the word "attack":
Search Results at·tack ??tak/ verb verb: attack; 3rd person present: attacks; past tense: attacked; past participle: attacked; gerund or present participle: attacking
1. take aggressive action against (a place or enemy forces) with weapons or armed force, typically in a battle or war. "in December, the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor" synonyms: strike, charge, pounce; More bombard, shell, blitz, strafe, fire, besiege "they attacked along a 10-mile front" antonyms: defend (of a person or animal) act against (someone or something) aggressively in an attempt to injure or kill. "a doctor was attacked by two youths" synonyms: assault, assail, set upon, beat up; More batter, pummel, punch; informaldo over, work over, rough up "Chris had been brutally attacked" (of a disease, chemical substance, or insect) act harmfully on. "HIV is thought to attack certain cells in the brain" criticize or oppose fiercely and publicly. "he attacked the government's defense policy" synonyms: criticize, censure, condemn, pillory, savage, revile, vilify; More informalknock, slam, blast, bash, lay into "the clergy attacked government policies" antonyms: praise
So as we can see, describing their statements as an "attack" is ludicrous and irresponsible.
We good? C'mon, Harley. You swing harder than this.

but I promise I was trying to be flippant, not condescending.
Again, I'm not saying it's a big deal. I'm saying it was inappropriate. Like your sister bringing up your Ex when you bring a new girl home.
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/attack
: to criticize (someone or something) in a very harsh and severe way
You guys are applying more emphasis on the harsher definitions of "attack" in order to dismiss the term. I'm done getting into semantics on it. The lecture was meant to demean, not build. If you disagree, we can move on.
I am humbled that you think I'm Harley...not sure why he would get a new handle, but thanks.

Sorry, I thought you were Harley with a variation of the handle. You sounded a lot like him in the past. Again, apologies.
Let's break down what they said again. Do you really feel it was an attack?

“We, sir, we are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir. But we truly hope this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us, all of us. We truly thank you for sharing this show — this wonderful American story told by a diverse group of men, women, of different colors, creeds, and orientations.”
Yep. Very horrible and inappropriate. How dare they!

Trump supporters tend to be.
Hamilton, Starbuck's TrumpCup, and Trump whining about SNL, it's incredible.
I also don't understand how what the Hamilton cast did was an attack, you've failed to properly explain that. Your question if it was appropriate is justifiable though, and I think that's where people can have differing opinions.
