Since Oline seems to be a topic of interest

Dec 5, 2018, 5:34 PM

Robbie Caldwell’s classes according to 247

3 stars: Jay Guillermo, Patrick Destefano, Isaiah Battle, Oliver Jones, Maverick Morris, Justin Falcinelli, Taylor Hearn, Noah Green, Zach Giella, Tremayne Anchrum, Chandler Reeves, Cade Stewart, Blake Vinson, Noah DeHond, and Jordan McFadden

4 stars: Tyrone Crowder, Jake Fruhmorgen, John Simpson, Sean Pollard, and Matt Bockhorst

5 stars: Mitch Hyatt and Jackson Carman

This means that 68% of his offensive line signees have been 3 stars. And 0 have had their names called in the NFL draft, although Mitch is going to change that. But, the recruits from 2015-2018 were

I was going to say 2015-2018 were good. 2019 is bad so far. 2020 is looking good. 2012-2014 were awful. But, Clemson wasn’t competing for national titles then either.

Why are these Caldwell's classes? I thought our staff

recruited as a whole, and that different coaches recruit different players, and not necessarily ones they will coach. Am I wrong?

I don’t know why we only blame Caldwell. You’re right, he recruits an area, not a position. I guess the question should be why can’t “Clemson” attract better offensive lineman. And you can make an argument that Robbie Caldwell hasn’t delivered. 7 years and 0 draft picks just isn’t good enough. We are WRU, and get amazing WR recruits, because high school WRs know that we send them to the NFL. Offensive lineman don’t get that perception with Clemson. And I don’t blame them.

When did people become so sensitive to data?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Why do you get so sensitive about a joke? Here’s some data for you:

Dec 6, 2018, 7:08 AM

4 consecutive playoff appearances
4 consecutive conference championships
5 consecutive wins over the gamecocks

The data tells me our program looks like it’s in pretty good shape.

Not to mention 11th in Sacks Allowed, 10th in Rushing Off,

Dec 6, 2018, 8:05 AM

and 11th in Red Zone Offense.

1 1st team All ACC Olinemen
3 2nd team All ACC Olinemen
1 3rd team All ACC Olinemen

What more can this OLine do? How does everyone else recognize how good they are but some of us on TigerNet?
