The official marker is on the chain side of the field and the opposite side of the field are unofficial.
Worse, it's a player's job to KNOW where they need to get for a first down. I'll tell you who DID know where that spot was...MARCUS EDMOND.

there are markers on both sides of the field. the one on the visitors side is the official marker. it is that way in every game played.

The official one is on the visitor's sideline.

Nothing can be in the 2 yard strip just outside the sideline - including markers and including coaches - thus the get-back coach and sideline warning then penalties.

The marker on the opposite side of the field was 2.8 ft farther away from the sideline and THAT MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD!!!!!
(And Quickie couldn't do the math before the play started. That's grad level coursework at tha Ville.)

Way back, have no idea if it was accurate since chains were on other side, but the card did not make the first down.

The receiver could have lowered his shoulder and TRIED for a TD. At worst he would have maybe got a first down. Nobody should blame a piece of orange vinyl...that's on the receiver for his poor angle and lack of effort.

I don't understand this narrative at all. He clearly did not intend to step out of bound. The contact with Edmond rotates his body 180 degrees. He is facing the opoosite end zone when he touches out of bounds. If anything, Quick thought he had the endzone and was being too nonchalant, but he did not step out of his own volition. Patronizing this argument is insulting to our team in general and Edmond in specific.
