Add in FSU and Miami in recent years too.
We have to get serious about winning. Basketball is the only other sport that turns a profit so there is no reason to accept what we have.

ACC crown in basketball, is able to boast about it to bolster their recruiting along the East Coast, yet retains a semi-independence in football.
I understand how competition against them on the gridiron may help to fill stadiums, but that will only increase their presence in prime recruiting areas in the South while further strengthening their fan base along the East Coast where they have long enjoyed a strong presence.
I like Notre Dame; I admire and respect their history and traditions. But I don't like the deal the ACC afforded them which did not require full membership after a period of time, an opinion I expressed at the time of the deal.
Then again, that's just my opinion - worth only so much as I'm willing to pay myself for it. lol

I was just thinking about this. It's disgraceful and an indictment of Clemson's generational single-mindedness in athletics. Time to remedy this. Starts with the fan base and alumni.
