Overheard

Dec 4, 2015, 12:04 PM

A uncheat fan in Greenville yesterday telling someone, "i've been a donor for 37 years to the Ram Club and couldnt get tickets to the game this weekend. They told me that they only received 5,000 from the ACC. Said Clemson ticket office had requested all of the tickets they could get before "we" knew we were in the game."

Sounds like Tiger Nation will be painting the stadium Orange.

Go Tigers!

What he means is that Clemson sold there 5500 allotment and then Clemson fans bought the rest via other means. The only tickets not sold by the time UNC clinched the division were the 5500 allotted to the Coastal champ.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Yep

Each school started with 5,500 and both sold out. Clemson requested and got an additional 6,000 and sold them all, UNC requested and got an additional 2,500 and sold those.

Should be a lot of orange

Dec 4, 2015, 12:10 PM

Sounds like our school did get more tickets than theirs because we were in earlier: "Clemson got 6,000 more tickets and UNC another 2,500 tickets"

After halftime the 'holes are gonna be outside shooting hoops anyway. No need to waste a full game ticket on them!

in that it was short, sweet, eye-catching and made one want to come in to see what you had for them!

Know "Hartins" would like it due to his being a former award-winning sports writer, sports editor & then Editor-In-Chief of The TiGER student newspaper..(b/4 there were gasoline engines!).

LOL & GoTiGS!

get the person some cheese to go with that wine. A lot of Clemson fans went ahead and bought tickets as early as this summer. UNC could not fill the Belk Bowl when they went to Charlotte. They do not travel well. I have zero sympathy. Paint it orange.
If God did not want Clemson to beat UNC, why did he put the school in Orange County.

They actually got 8000, but still...us having a 2 week head

start on the secondary market will mean an almost home game atmosphere for the Tigers. We bought up most of the good parking too.
