Shaq Smith

I have not seen his name mentioned in months. In fact not much is said about linebackers period.
I take it as a positive sign, but are there details that I'm missing?

I think he just turned out to be a little more developmental, only a RS Soph now and active on special teams.

We have 4 Senior LBs, so maybe next year will be his time to shine along with Lamar still if he stays, Skalski, and Chad Smith plus the youngsters.

Should be a good group again in 2019 and beyond if guys like him stick with it.

Shaq, just like Feaster have taken some time to develop. That’s why i wonder about these rating systems. Both were 5* recruits, which by recruiting definitions on 247, they should be ready to play and contribute as a true freshman, definitely as a rs frosh. But you never know... Don’t think either has hit their ceiling at all.

Ratings look at a guy’s body size sometimes too. Coming out of high school both were physically imposing and had that “it” factor physically, but football is a mental game too. So that’s where they’ve needed to improve in order to live up to their hype

Watch ClemsonFB Vlogs on youtube, not only are they super interesting and go in depth with Clemson FB but Shaq Smith is in many of them and he's always happy and in a good mood.
