Seriously, why did the ACC invite Louisvile to

join our conference?
1. Their academics are horrible. More like Arkansas, both Mississippi teams, and USux.
2. Their football teams has guys that were dismissed from other Div. 1 teams.
3. You have read the latest on their basketball recruitment. So bad that their coach did not even go to the ACC basketball meeting.
They are an embarrestment (so?) to our conference.

because they have an absolutely premiere basketball program, they are well positioned geographically for the midwest market, and they have the potential to be really good in football again this year. and their academics aren't THAT bad.

Appreciate your comment but their academics are horrible compared to anyone else in our conference.

Seriously their academics are much better than most fans realize. True their football is not what it was under Coach Strong, but give them time. Their basketball program is up against it with the latest development, but baseball and other sports are more than sound.
They are an excellent addition. Just wish they were in the other division.
Go Tigers!

Just a couple years ago, everyone bragged about their athletics. They will be fine. They were a nice addition to the ACC.

Overall, their athletic department is very respectable. Not sure their academic reputation, but I've never heard anything bad.

Terrible academic school? They've had a medical school since 1837, they're a lot smart people who have gone there.

Great people, great fans, $ to burn, basketball, football on upswing, massive facility upgrades in progress, needed a replacement for Maryland, close to Notre Dame, home of The Kentucky Derby & Churchill Downs, major airport, Ohio River, bourbon distilleries, Fort Knox, Muhammad Ali, KFC home office, Louisville Slugger, in state where both Presidents (North & South) in the Civil War were born, Rosine - birthplace of Bill Monroe, Ricky Skaggs, Mary Travers, The Everly Brothers, parents of John Prine, many other music artists, nearby the National Corvette Museum, mountains, rivers, & caves. Something for everybody. Their academic standing does not lower or raise Clemson's. It is not illegal to accept troubled transfers. We could do it. It is not illegal to accept junior college transfers. We could do it. Be thankful. They are a great addition to the ACC.

Have you ever been to a Univ of Arkansas game?? My wife went there and I've been to many games - never a small crowd. They're more along the crowd size of NC St. But way bigger than crowds at Wake, Duke, and Pitt

They are great addition academically. Just don't ever try and cite the ACC is the premiere academic conference.
There is zero chance that the Big Ten would ever take Louisville, because of their academics.

It's not an academic conference. It's a sports conference.

Who cares if they have subpar academics? I only care about Clemson's academics, and when it comes to sports, having good academic schools in our sports conference doesn't help us at all.
