So now that Rick Barnes has run out of co-eds to chase in Austin, the Longhorns get the prize that Clemson let run off into the night without a fight. I wonder if Shaka Smart even got a serious interview while at Clemson? Good for SS to make the best of his opportunity...Tigers can't afford him now that he has made his mark in the eyes of the media & AD's who understand basketball CAN be profitable if you have the right guy leading the program.

When OP left Smart was a HC for like one season. He would have been a questionable hire at the time.

...off subject... but I think, in the "scheme" of things, if we hadn't let Cliff Ellis go, he would be the coach of an annual ACC contender and a regular NCAA tournament seeding. Jut sayin'....
