Artavis Scott

Oct 2, 2016, 2:19 AM

I know Williams is back and that's great, but why the lack of utilizing Scott this year? The kid was an absolute stud last year and seems to be the forgotten man this year.

Scott saved the game

Kickoff return was the key play....
Feaster in kick returns is at present not as dynamic. He is young....

Scott's return was the play of the game for us. No doubt. Scott won the game with that return.

I think is because Ray-Ray is winning the battle

Ray Ray and Artavis are such similar types of WR. And if you have a play that need them, you choose the one that is better.

I know about the kick return

Oct 2, 2016, 2:35 AM

Yes, that was a great play, but I'm talking about the passing game. I mean wasn't he the teams leading receiver last year? Him and Deshaun had great chemistry last year. He's not playing as much and Deshaun seems a little off this year. I guess what I'm saying is why go away from what worked. He was the leading receiver on a team that played for a national championship and now, for whatever reason, seems kinda irrelevant this year. I don't get it.

if I remember correctly...

He was overthrown twice when he had defenders beat. Plus he dropped one that was overthrown a little, but off the finger tips. He has been targeted on long throws. Watson is just off on some of the long throws.

Agree. He's a good one in the return game as we saw tonight.

I agree. He should be starting at kickoff return. And I think he's better that Ray Ray on the jet sweeps. He's not quite as fast as Ray Ray. I guess that's the reason. Scott is so dynamic in the open field ... Jet sweeps, bubble and slip screens. They need to feed him more. He's like a dynamic running back with the ball in his hands. Tough as nails too. I expect to see our coaches recognize he needs more touches.
