Yeah I saw one guy say that our defense will be worse next year than theirs was this year. They have no clue.

Unlike Ward for Carolina, Venables will have the defense ready. I'm really looking forward to Lawson and Register next year. Secondary will be solid. Travis Blanks comes back. Watson and Reader will be a force. All the defensive line got valuable experience this year.

next year, they better hope and pray A LOT of teams will "fall off" on defense next year.
Duplicating this years 6 - 6 record may be a real challenge for them next year.

We won't have that freak pass rusher like Beasley, but our starting front 7 will be solid. Depth is a concern however.
Our secondary will be insanely good and deep.
Overall, I don't see us being an elite top-5 like defense, but we'll be a solid top-20 unit. As long as we stay healthy.

We're replacing a lot of leadership on the DL and at LB, and you don't just lose guys like that without there being some effect. We do have a lot of talent returning on the DL, but none of them have proven to be at Vic, Grady, or Corey's level just yet. Boulware has played a good but, but I don't see anybody who's ready to do what Anthony can do just yet.

Our seniors weren't highly thought of...everyone was clamoring for Adams and Nkimdichee and Lawson...hoping guys like that could make an immediate impact. One thing is for sure, our staff knows how to develop that Dline...
