I have no problem if someone wanted to drop charges against a 17 year old and give them a second chance, assuming he wasn't already on his second or third chance. I have no problem with a usc fan dropping charges to save one of his own. I don't even have a problem with someone taking a payday to drop charges against a crime where he is the only victim.
What I think is ridiculous is SOS saying that the young man was "innocent" and was "falsely accused". That's not at all what the earlier evidence has shown or what the article states. It speaks to his state of mind and perception of his team's current state that he would truly think that anyone believes the bull he's putting out there.

Spurrier would have allowed Ben Axon, a drug dealer, to join the team if Eric Hyman hadn't stopped it. He also brought in that locker room thief from Ga. Military. I guess you'd have to be a serial murderer for Spurrier to reject you, and I'm not even sure about that.

FUNNY THING IS COOT A LOT OF CLEMSON FANS WERE BEGGING FOR SUPERIOR TO LEAVE COLUMBIA JUST 2 OR 3 SHORT YEARS AGO. NOW I DONT KNOW ANYONE THAT WANTS HIM TO EVER LEAVE. THE ONLY THING THE GUY CARES ABOUT THESE DAYS IS DRINKING BEER, HANGING WITH CELEBRITIES AND GOLFING. PLEASE DO WHAT YOU CAN TO KEEP HIM IN COLUMBIA.

No offense taken from your post, but to clarify, I make no assumption as to the young mans innocence or guilt or the judges decision in my post. Based on what has been reported previously and what was written in the article your coach was quoted in, his comments jumped out at me as absurd.
I know I would hate to have to defend him or his program.

i agree we did not defend spurriers program or team very well for 5 years straight. and if their program is as bad as everyone is saying we should hope he stays a lot more years.
