CFB National Championships since 1980
(in order of the teams who have the most overall championships since 1869)

Alabama – 5
USC Sr – 2
Ohio State – 2
Oklahoma – 2
Miami – 5
Nebraska – 3
Washington – 3
Florida – 3
Florida State – 3
LSU – 2
SMU – 2
Clemson – 2
Penn State – 2

The Tigers are in good company, and Dabo might just get us five.

and Washington only has 1991 coaches- the other 2 are bogus

like some of Bama's old ones-- to UW's credit the school does not recognize the other two, unlike some universities(i.e., BAMA)

Since 1980 only 11 teams have won multiple CFB NCs

CFB National Championships since 1980
(in order of the teams who have the most overall championships since 1869)

Another way of saying this is that since 1980, only five schools have won more CFB NCs than Clemson. Just a different way of appreciating the accomplishments of 1981 and 2016.
