by week 5 we used to hunt for the winnable games to get us to a bowl. The Hatfield and West years, man. Those were the days.

In a way they were the days.
Winning so much has set the expectations at at such a high level that it has taken some of the fun out of being a fan.
Now one loss and everyone loses their minds... even if it is in the CFP semi-finals.

I really love it when reality starts setting in with them in an undeniable way.
I really do enjoy their misery and watching them squirm. They deserve it.

I agree and disagree. I was just a kid when we won the first national title. As an adult, I just wanted to have that feeling of the Tigers winning it one more time. Now everything else is just gravy. However, I do like me some gravy.

I remember celebrating when we got a sixth win, meaning we had a winning season. (Fewer games were played.) Wouldn't want to go back to those days, but with the success came the stress.
