This BC game scares me too death

Have watched some of their games and their rushing attack is legit. Also their rush defense is very good and ranked top 10 I believe. If we can't run the ball, we have to lean on Stoudt and that spells doom. I like Stoudts toughness, but you gotta be real, he is an avg at best QB, who isn't a good fit in this offense. Coming off a tough physical game with that kind of emotion and having to play at BC, where the atmosphere isn't that good, gives me a bad feeling. Not too mention we have never played well there. Not sure we can run on them at all and when Stoudt is in, our offense turns into Rob Spence offense with nothing but bubble screens. Watching UGA game, they had no fear at all for him throwing deep on them. I don't care if we win 3-0, we just have one more to get by that is tough, till we get Watson back. Can't count on a special teams TD and defensive score to win. That was first punt return for a TD since J Ford I believe. BC defense is good, but nowhere near the level Louisville is, but they're still very good against the run.That being said I think we win 23-17 in a tough physical game

No one they've played has the caliber of defense we possess. Sure, they are huge up front. But I still doubt they'd push us around. Their biggest threat is the QBs running ability. That's proven to be a problem for us before.
But they played NCSU to a 30-14 game I believe. We destroyed NCSU. Might not be worth much but I believe the toughest of the remaining Ds we face was last week. Plus Stoudt is practicing this week, FWIW.

So not too mention we have never played well there; and this game does scare you too death; I think we have the team too go up there and take care of business; and I think Cole Stoudt is a good QB to.

Colorado Freakin' State did. They went into chestnut Hill and outplayed BC.
Certainly we have the coordinators and players to gameplan against them too. I know, I know, BC played us tough last year. and has typically given us close contests.
But make no doubt, we'll be ready. Their win against USC guaranteed that.

Yes we can accomplish anything, but we have yet to have a game where we have played well at BC. Our running game vs their rush defense is what has me worried and Stoudt at QB. Not too mention the emotional game we had last week

They aren't that bad a team. We can't throw the ball to the BC defenders like we did last week. We can't score 9 offensive points and expect to win. We must play a lot better this week offensively

This game scares the he!! Out of me too! Truth is, I was not concerned until DW went down. I just don't have the confidence in Stoudt that some on this board do. This is a different team when Stoudt is in there. I'm not sure that they have the same confidence in him that they do in DW. I can relate to that. I truly hope that Stoudt can manage this team, but he just doesn't seem to be able to hit the home run like DW. Those plays just rip the heart out of teams (see NC STATE & UNC). That quick strike capability. Let's hope that we jet sweep and work the edges. Make Stoudt real comfortable. Easy throws. We have the athletes to make big plays after the catch. Let's get everybody involved on offense and please let the superior talent take over. BC scared the he!! Out of me last year AT HOME!

I think that now the team knows and understands there won't be a Watson to call on regardless of what they think or want. They will play their hardest, and give Cole their best effort b/c they know our chances to win will shrink even less if Cole goes down. The O line will give everything they have to protect Cole....

exactly, this offense goes from high flying deep ball 4 times a quarter, to bubble screens with Stoudt. Team will stack the box and make Stoudt beat them, which not sure he can. Guy has a 5 arm from 1-10 scale. Shoulda threw 5 INT's vs Louisville. Good thing is, we won't face a defense like Louisville's again

Cole is a "statue" type QB with very limited mobility. I'm just not sure
we have the OL that will permit him to stand in the pocket and do his reads
and hit receivers. And Chad seems to be stuck in this mantra of "We are who
we are." And, their refusal to use Kurt Fleming absolutely baffles me. I'm not
hopeful.

I agree. They play really tough, hard-nosed football. Not sure our OL
can come anywhere close to standing up to them. And their defense may be every
bit as good as Louisville's, and their offense is probably quite a bit better.
Yeah, I'm worried.
