Notre Dame will not and can not move up. There is simply no way a team can be 'rewarded' for not having to compromise their current spot by playing a 13th game. In all honesty, I expect them to drop to 4th. Lastly, depending on how the games play out, I could envision them being dumped. Not expected, but it wouldn't be a complete surprise.

I do agree, if Clemson loses...it's tough to see them being chosen, absent near-total chaos across the weekend. You can't lose to Pitt...you can't. They won't.

But, you can lose to Pitt, we have, and we won it all. They came into that game 5-4 overall and 2-3 in the conference. They are probably a better team this year, but they did have two studs in Peterman and Conner in 2016 (both became NFL starters, though Peterman has now been cut).

Now...it shouldn't matter. I don't expect the game to be close. But I didn't expect it to be close in the Valley in '16 either.
