We are playing some guys who were scheduled for redshirts. I know they can play some and still redshirt, but I don't know the rules.
Someone please enlighten me.

I don't think the plan has ever been to redshirt them.
The only way they can play and not burn a redshirt is if they are injured early in the year.

I guess pinion could "turn an ankle" and get a Md RS after this week but thats the only one whos played that might get one.

redshirt is burned. If he's played less than something like 40% (may be less), but suffers an injury, he can get a medical redshirt. hth

Here is the complete list of redshirts for incoming freshmen: Oliver Jones, Jay Guillermo, Patrick DeStefano, Germone Hopper, Jay Jay McCullough, Chad Kelly, Martin Aiken, T.J. Burrell, Ronald Geohaghan
There are also 3 medical redshirts: Martin Jenkins, Justin Parker, Tony McNeal
There are 2 transfers sitting out 2012 who will be eligible in 2013: Kellen Jones, Nick Schuessler
There are 2 academic casualties from 2012 class at Hargrave that will enroll in January and be eligible for 2013: Shaq Lawson, Cordrea Tankersley
