so we are 1 over the limit of 85. odds are at least one of our 23 from this year will not qualify academically based on what has happened in previous years. that will get us down to 85. seems ok to me.

i think the article is trying to say if you sign more than you are supposed too it is called OVERSIGNING. you cant be the pot calling the kettle black or saying i am only a little pregnant. either you do it or you dont. but i do realize some do it in greater numbers but none the less it is what it is.

Daniel Rodriguez is on the GI bill so he will not count towards the 85 limit. We will carry 86 but not give out 86 scholarships.

how does he not count against the 85

Feb 20, 2013, 11:24 AM

I'm sure we could find other players scholarships other than football but they still count against the 85

he is a walkon and walkons don't count toward scholarship limitations. he ostensibly is paying his own way.

This article is very much skewed...

Why lend credibility to this article?

Got to Give schools like Notre Dame and Clemson Credit when they can bring in 80 and compete on a national stage. Then there is Ole Miss which tops the list, and does not amount to jack squat on the field.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

do you think they're counting walk-ons?

Feb 20, 2013, 11:35 AM

because I just counted the scholarship in the scholarship chart on here and it came out to 85 and that's with Amon Lakip (who is transfering) and 5 of our commits for 2014

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

The posts at CBSSports were better than the article. The NCAA could really fix this issue. However, any changes/revisions/upgrades, would be similar to a performance rule change in NASCAR. The really good cheaters would prevail.
