Inside the committment: Albert Huggins

Most people who follow recruiting believed that Albert Huggins was Clemson bound from the very beginning of the process. However, Huggins told TigerNet Monday that simply wasn’t the case. When did he make his decision? Why did Clemson end up the winner? Full Story »

Glad he chose us! He is a great player and a great person, from all accounts I have read and heard.

Yes but with the Clemson family , unlike the UGa family ...you do not need to keep a bail bondsman on speed dial.

I think UGA is a good program and admire their coach, but to us it just seems like a no-brainer. CU has a quality football program, from top to bottom, but it also offers a great educational opportunity, which is what college is supposed to be all about. This young man seems to be a good student athlete, which is just CU needs. Glad to have him onboard. I was sure he was going to UGA.

He was going to UGA, until UGA got Arden Key to switch

up from USuC to UGA. UGA then backed off Huggins. Key is a true DE/OLB type for their defense.

You are so so right. Do the people on this site not realize that recruits and potential recruits read these and other boards? We talk down about SC fans but sometimes I wonder if some of us are any better. Take Stoudt for instance yea I am not a fan nor am I confident of his abilities but I'm not going to bash him on these sites and come game day I will not be booing but I will be rooting him on. So come on people let's try to be classy and if a fan from another school decides to troll our boards so what show them we are better show them the class act a true Tiger fan really is. GO TIGERS

I generally agree with you, and have never "bashed" Stoudt. I have simply
expressed my opinion that he is not a D-1 talent and should not be playing at Clemson. If
he, in my opinion, starts against Oklahoma, we will lose. Just my opinion. Not an
attack on his character.

Amen. I'm sick of the ignorant "coot" BS just because someone doesn't
happen to agree with you. It's just stupid, and reveals a lack of any
meaningful thought or analysis.

UGA was all over this guy. We simply won the battle. A big-time get for us.
UGA was after him until the last minute.

You should change your name to 66-42-4

And Huggins isn't a true De? Already at 282 with explosive speed, he is an NFL
type DE. He can absolutely seal the corner and give opposing QB's nightmares.
I hope they don't make the mistake of trying to make him into a DT. He will be an
intimidator at DE. And I don't care who switched to UGA. We won this one.

Slum Just STOP and go back to fgf

Really glad we got this guy, but he's more of a DT

Posted: Dec 16, 2014 11:02 AM

than DE. Brooks and Hobby will work him out at DE as promised in recruiting, then he'll have to slide over to DT. He could provide immediate depth at DT along with Pagano next fall.

Nice try, but I think Watkins, Reader, Pagano, Robinson

plus the incoming 4-starred Cervenka and Johnson may have the DT position covered.

I really hope not. We've had too many undersized DE's. Keep Huggins there
and he'll become a Clemson legend. We have a ton of talented DT's who have been
redshirted. Also, I heard that the clincher with Albert was that Dabo assured
that he would play DE at Clemson.

Hey Albert, recruit Zach***
