I know, I got relatives one County to the South. NYC is a bubble city, full of misfits, malcontents, counter-culture wannabees and most of all, limousine liberals.

No no no. NYC isn't the Los Angeles of the Northeast .lol I was born in NYC (Queens) and my father's side of the family is there.Salt of the earth Italians who worked in the steel industry and construction.We all have a blue collar background through our dads ( I helped with construction work on Long Island for the family during my summers is high school) and I have a cousin who is NYPD and I have no doubt he would risk his life in the line of duty.Your average New Yorkers are basically very practical people .

Yes, I agree ... folks from Queens, Staten island, Bronx (about as salty as you can get), Yonkers, and old school Brooklyn are like you said ... my Clemson Tiger son works in Manhattan but lives in Queens, and he will vouch for that.
