why even considering keeping Joe's statue?

If the guy is alive, he might be convicted and might go to jail.
lets say that non of them gets convicted and that is the best case scneanrio. Legally there "might" be not enough evidence to convict them but do we really want to keep the statue of a guy that a cloud of suspension surrounds him? The answer is NO. Civilly I believe that they are liable and will be sued (along with the university) and the victims will win the case.
Look at the OJ case.. He won the criminal case but does anyone of us want that scum bag on our dinner table?

What an ignorant uninformed sleazy comment to make when you have NO CLUE about the situation at Penn State. I am an insider there, a former Trustee, and anybody with a functioning mind knows this is a frame job by the current Board! You are entitled to your opinion but NOT to your made up facts! The truth will come out if and when the feds get involved. Remember, the Board HIRED Freeh so he works for THEM and followed their marching orders! Get a life!

No matter what!! He knew and kept his mouth shut. He is guilty. Which one of us will stay silent if an adult is having sex with a kid (PERIOD). Maybe you need to get some morals into you.

just because he (joe pa) was the face of the program, he is as guilty as sandusky, in my mind.mcquerry (sp?) should have his ### kicked for not kicking sandusky's ###, when he saw what happened in the shower.

I think they should leave it up and add a plaque explaining the scandal.
That way future generations can learn a lesson from this. No need to put it aside and pretend it didn't happen.

Otherwise we would be tearing down Tillman Hall and pulling down the statue in Columbia that was erected by the Democrat party.

Not really the same thing. If it came to it the name of Tillman Hall could be changed, and the building doesn't have to be destroyed to do that. A statue is a likeness and will always represent an individual unlike a building with a name.
