That's disgusting, but look who we are talking about!!!

Was at the game and both Clemson and Carolina fans were cordial around me. If I had seen anything like that I would have called security immediately.

Reader is not the only Clemson baseball player to have beer thrown on him. It has happened before. However, the other case I know of where it happened involved a pitcher in the bullpen. Of course, the way their bullpen is laid out it basically INVITES people to do stupid crap like that.

Of course, it would not surprise me one bit if the same thing happened at Clemson. There are bad fans everywhere.

If a Clemson fan did that I would call them out.

Can't believe they'd stoop so low as to sneak beer into a stadium just to throw on people.

I bet it was that blasted Clowney.

You should be able to believe it, it incorporates 2 of y'alls favorite past times: getting stupid drunk and acting like an ass.

Re: SEC

The coots have become more and more like UGA since joining the SEC as well as other classless programs.

This is the reason I don't want to be in the SEC…..

I love us playing SEC teams and hope we continue to schedule SEC teams for out of conference games, but Clemson just doesn't fit in with the trashy behavior of SEC fans or the rampant cheating that SEC schools do.

Clemson fits in the pathetic conference they are in. You are never ever ever gonna be in the sec so get over yourselves !!!

And you are never ever ever gonna win the SEC

Posted: Mar 8, 2013 4:54 PM

so get over yourself.

Must be nice to be able to use your conference as a crutch to make up for your own team's lack of accomplishments

The problem with this is per his tweet, he said he was in the dugout...Carolina's dugouts are closed off from the back, so he couldnt have had beer thrown at his back while he was in the dugout.

Swu is correct

[1]
Posted: Mar 4, 2013 6:49 AM

Clearly not true as dugouts are clsed from back and would have been impossible to do in a crowd like that. Why would he lie? To get the fanbase riled up of course? I mean kids on twitter never lie right?

You are both coots

Posted: Mar 4, 2013 11:12 AM

therefore it is tough to blame you for being dumb. He was standing in the dugout by the rail where there is no covering over your head. This is where all players stand during the games. I bet you think you think that wasn't a home run Friday night too don't you?

Re: DJ Reader had liquid/beer thrown on him

It didn't happen. I was two rows back of the dugout and saw nothing. Nobody saw anything. The only person that could have done it would have been in the dugout with him. They are pro style dugouts and you cannot see the players or get to them. Also cannot get beer at or in the stadium. I give him kudos for getting the fan base rilled up but it's not true.

No way without being visible to a lot of people. Security is right there at the steps. They had to restrain Michael Johnson last year. Verbal abuse maybe but there is no way that happened. Just a sore loser.

Re: DJ Reader had liquid/beer thrown on him

Posted: Mar 4, 2013 11:09 AM

Looks like it would be hard to dump a beverage on a player, especially without being noticed, but would be possible.

Dude in the birthday hat there was giving Reader the business - can't say if he's the one that may have done the dumping - but was riding Reader & others pretty hard early in the game & after the game.

You can see players from the waist up

Posted: Mar 4, 2013 11:15 AM

It would be very easy to throw a drink at any of them. Also everyone knows that security at Scar games is only there to keep opposing fans in check. They never say a word to a Scar fan for doing anything. We had a drink thrown on our whole section last year during regionals and it was thrown from right next to one of the security people.

Your post is laughable...security guards dobt just keep opposing fans in check...If this atoey were true then itd be alot bigger than a tweet that was taken off in a few hours.

Amazing how you get beat and all you can say is we are classless. Laughable....

Classless coots. Are there any other kind of coots?***
