sorry A&M should be higher than FSU and Clemson. I see FSU and clemson in the range of Miss state.

What did Miss. State prove at all this year?

They're 8-4, unranked, and finished 4-4 in their conference. They got absolutely blown out in all of their 4 losses to Alabama, LSU, A&M, and Ole Miss. We didn't lose to anyone nearly as bad as Ole Miss, and we definitely didn't lose by 20 to someone that bad.
When you look at who Miss. State actually beat and their records, it turns out to be worse than who we beat.
Jackson State: FCS School Auburn: 3-9 (0-8) Troy: 5-7 (3-5) in the Sun Belt South Alabama: 2-10 (1-7) in the Sun Belt Kentucky: 2-10 (0-8) Tennessee: 5-7 (1-7) Mid Tennessee: 8-3 (6-1) in the Sun Belt Arkansas: 4-8 (2-6)
They basically beat up on the Sun Belt conference and 4 teams from the SEC that had a combined 3-29 record in conference, while losing to an average SEC team in Ole Miss by 17 points and 3 good teams by 20+.
FSU and Clemson have much better programs than Miss. State, and they have for years.

Why would anyone think A&M is below SCar? They are set to be one of the premier programs in college football. Even currently I would rank them top 3 in the SEC.
1. Bama 2. LSU 3. Florida 4. A&M 5. FSU 6. SCar 7. Clemson 8. VT 9. Arky 10. Miss. St. 11. GT 12. Miami 13. NC State ...

True, but they did lose 4 games early to top 10 teams

Not sayin they're much better, but I myself would move them above Ole Miss who didn't play much of anyone and lost to the better teams.

Did he ask for team ranking?
Nov 27, 2012, 7:10 PM
|

He said program. I said A&m was a top 3 team right now. Possibly the best in the sec at this moment. That doesn't mean they can't be the 4th best program currently. Florida, Lsu, and bama have been recruiting top 5 for years and have mostly stable staffs. A&m will catch up and pass Florida and Lsu quickly but are not there yet.
