OK. So my son is in Columbia tonight for freshman orientation tomorrow. They decided to go to Outback for dinner. He said he kept noticing all these Clemson people coming into the restaurant and was wondering what was going on. He then realized it was the Clemson baseball team and (like the true Gamecock fan he has become) started heckling the Clemson players (in good fun). He said they kept walking by his table and each time he would say "Go #####! Ya'll ready to get beat?" he said he did the same thing when Jackleg walked by and Jackleg stopped, turned and just looked at him. The other players all just smiled. He started to tell him he was in charge of bat warming but decided better. I'm a proud father!

Nothing like taunting a bunch of college kids. And encouraging it. That's baffling to me. I am a Gamecock fan, and I'll heckle someone in good spirit, but I wouldn't TAUNT the TEAM. Would be a funny day in that household if the Tigers sent the Gamecocks packing. I don't want to see that of course, but you know, fans like that are why I prefer the company here.

Getting in a coaches face? of course not.
An 18 year old sitting in a restaurant and a rival coach walks by and the kid says "Gamecocks gonna win this weekend" loud enough for the coach to hear?- personally I don't see any issue with that at all.
Doesn't sound that odd to me. Probably happens fairly often.

This is the way it is 365 days a year in Coot town. Unfortunately we live there and my kids have been taunted their entire lives - in restaurants, school, at the gas station while pumping gas, in the grocery store by grown men, and even a few times at church!....while they were minding their own business. And since USuC has been beating us in football and post season baseball, it is so much worse. Can't wait to get out of this place!

They were showing highlights and build up videos of South Carolina and Clemson, and a 5-7 year old kid was talking to a gamecock player at a restaurant (Landon Powell I think it was) saying how he was going to be sent home. The parents were standing right behind the kid by the way. Powell just sat there, ate, and smiled.
What a classless Tiger family to do such a thing. I mean a little kid talking trash, but they must have just been an Omaha family on the Clemson bandwagon.

Clearly it's not the classiest thing but these types of threads on the heels of defeat packaged as some type of solace are misplaced. We are better than this.
