Raekwon Signs on Gameday!!

I know CU Compliance sent out a tweet about not making signs for PSAs (potential student-athletes) but there is actually no violation if a fan holds up a sign at a public event for a PSA. None (they are just doing their due diligence like they should but zero violation).
We need to let Raekwon McMillan know he is wanted. There should be like 20 signs in the crowd all telling Raekwon to come to Clemson. It would definitely help our recruiting...

Sure they are saying that but the fact remains that it is not a violation. If it was then Texas should have been nailed every time they host Gameday--they make huge signs.
Bottomline it is not a violation so if a fan wants to they can.

I'm sorry, it breaks no rules. Ask CU compliance if it is a violation--they will tell you it is not but they would prefer that no one made any signs. Understand?

Notice they don't say it is a violation. Its a CYA. I actually do know the rule book and anyone at a public event--like a high school game, for example, is free to make a banner or poster with a message to a player. If it is a closed event (private to the public) and any signs are made that would be a violation.
Its actually cut and dry in this case. Need any more clarification?

Further, a prospective student-athlete may not participate in team activities that would make the public or media aware of the prospective student athlete’s visit to the institution.”
Publicizing a recruit’s visit consists of signs, banners, shirts or chants that include a recruit’s name or face.

They do...but they can't do it all. Fans should be on Twitter and everywhere recruits are (if you aren't then your rival will be). Anything to get a leg up.
We are slipping with Raekwon and need to do everything to get back in to it..

Because I'm sure he commits to Clemson because he saw a sign on Gameday. It sure helped when The Hill chanted "We Want Adams (clap, clap, clap clap clap)" when he was actually at the game on a visit.

Adams was headed to Clemson until like the week before signing day.
That Auburn booster probably wrote "We want Adams" in the memo line of his check.

Actually I want to be a proactive fan and try to help my team. Think about this--Gurley said he was swayed to go to Georgia by all the fans on Twitter (after each coach made there pitch and things were so close, it was the fan love that put them over the edge). I am sure GA compliance told people not to tweet (and everyone tweets with players).
So some of us want to go that extra mile for our team and make sure Raekwon is given every reason to come to Clemson.
